Bassmaster Radio Features Foster Fence Partner

Episode 105 of Bassmaster Radio featured Foster Fence partner Darold Gleason. Gleason appeared on the weekly program to discuss his recent win at the 2019 Basspro.com Central Open at Toledo Bend Reservoir.

Gleason made the leap from 20th place after bagging a 25-pound, 3-ounce fish that secured his win by over 10-pounds on the second day.

“It all feels so unreal to me,” he said to host Thom Abraham. “It’s been very hard for me to even talk about it because it’s such a dream come true.”

Gleason is now qualified for Classic 50, pending participation in the rest of the Central Opens. When asked whether he plans to compete, he stated, “The classic is the big ticket every angler wants to make and for me to have accomplished that, you know, honestly it still doesn’t quite feel like it’s gonna happen.”

Gleason has been participating in the opens since 2010 and plans to participate in the rest of the Central Opens through to the Classic 50. His ambitions go as far as one day participating in the Elites.

Gleason spoke appreciatively when asked about Foster Fence, which came on as the title sponsor for his boat over 3 years ago. He noted how important it is as a local competitor to have sponsors and likened the sponsorships to partnerships.
